Since its inception in 1982, it has been held annually over Labour weekend, attracting sailing enthusiasts from around the world.
This race is renowned for its challenging course and stunning coastal scenery, making it New Zealand's premier fleet yacht race. The competition is fierce, with a diverse fleet ranging from high-performance racing yachts to cruising boats. Participants navigate through varied weather conditions, showcasing their sailing skills and endurance.
